Darkbias is the contrivance of Jez Mungapen, the “Fabulist in Chief” of a group based out of San Francisco, California. As a reaction to radio ready bubble gum pop and backroom producers who make the tragically young and beautiful, famous. We are the backroom and the front room and the kitchen sink to boot… Is there a place for long intros and choruses that don’t hit within the first 30 seconds? Probably not, but who cares. Throwing back to the post punk era, removing the polish and laying bare. Dark? Yes, Pop? Probably, Rock? Maybe, Biased? of course.
